How to get access to Google’s PaLM 2 Large Language Model

Google’s Large Language Model (LLM) PaLM 2 (Pathways Language Model)was recently released at the I/O 2023 event on 10 May 2023. According to Google, PaLM 2 excels at advanced reasoning tasks, including code and math, classification and question answering, translation and multilingual proficiency, and natural language generation better than previous state-of-the-art LLMs, including PaLM. PaLM 2 is reported to be a 340 billion parameter model trained on 3.6 trillion tokens. For comparison, Llama2 has 70 billion parameters and GPT-4 has 1.7 trillion parameters (though unverified).
